self bailers

at present i have the ball type bailer fitted, but was wandering if Elephant trunk bailers would be a better option in getting rid of water quicker, any body got any suggestions to which is better. thanks. Steve.

Ball type bailers are OK, bit do get stuck and then completely defeat the object. Elephant trunks IMO is the only way to go.

Had a ball type bailer on my 5.4 Searider. Worked fine - but they do get fouled if the boat is left afloat. Then then get stuck open or closed. Best to have a trunk if the boat is left afloat.
