Replacing Keel Guard

The Keel Guard on my rib is a bit battered and I have bought a new one to replace it. I am wondering how to go about it. The Keel Guard is 12ft long so in order to remove the old one, sand the area and stick on the new one I am going to have to lift it off the trailer in order to access the area properly. Does anyone have any advice on how to lift the rib? I have a few ideas, one is to hoist it off using the 2 towing eyes at the back and the winching eye at the bow. Its a 6.5m rib so not that easy to lift.
