Well ive been torn between expensive plotter or cheap GPS. And i think the GPS 126 has won. Does Jason have any in his factory/farm to have a look at?

He had one on a rib when I was there but not sure what's there now.
He will run through all the electronics either the real thing or the catalogues and advise on what will best meet your requirements after talking to you about them.
He obviously has prefered kit which he has found reliable over the years as we all do. This is why I went for the 126.

Richard, is that Steve's head after his Mrs read that last post?

What - you want to view a Garmin 126? It's just a dead simple text based GPS - like a console mounted GPS 12 but a bit bigger. They are good - but not particularly easy to read. But then I do like big chunky kit. Also they seem indestructible - I thought I'd destroyed a friend's 126 when I smashed my head into it, but it survived after he did a bit of repair to it.

You can change your mind on anything until he orders it, so if you have to wait 5 years for this rib because he is so busy, don't worry.

My VHF, I haven't got a clue but it cost £400ish (in Guernsey). I'll e-mail him and find out. I'll ask what sonar as well as I just said I want these and left it upto him. He did show me examples but to be honest so long as they work and are black that's fine by me.
The CD £300 incl. speakers He quoted me £700 for a plotter, don't know the make but I thought this a bit OTT for what I want.
I've had no problems reading the Garmin 128 over the past couple of years so expect none with the 126.
