Once.

Launched at Treaddur Bay. Good slip by the lifeboat station.
Caenearvon (sp) Bar was fun - one big wave when we were there but can be series of big rollers in windier conditions. Menai Straits are beautiful and the tidal flow through them has to be experienced to be believed. IIRC it only flows one way irrespective of what the tide is doing but I may be imagining that. There is an Island off the North end of the straits which usually has seals basking on it and is worth a look. South Stack to the West of Holyhead was also interesting - steep seas from all directions. All in all a good day out.

Have fun,
Alan

Jono

I have not ever been all the way round but have "done" every bit of the coast. I will be bringing my Anglesey pilot with me which is very good if a bit old !! Could you send me directions to the camp site please. I think we may be better launching closer to Anglesey so we are not restricted on time. Hope the weather improves !!

John

Only ever been off Anglesey once, and that was when I was diving. But as said before, the slip at Trearddur Bay is nice, but if it's a sunny day you'll be lucky to find anywhere to park, plus you'll have to contend with the locals, the hundreds of divers and those damn jetskiers!
