Pac 22 trim pump replacement

Hi All, I’m new to this forum but looking for some guidance for my Pac 22 Mk1.
Trim pump is dying. I don’t think it is the original pump. Any one got suggestions on suitable replacement? Mercruiser or Volvo pumps seem reasonably priced ?

My engine is still governed to 1500 revs, any thoughts on lifting that to 2000rpm ?

Any thoughts welcome. Cheers

Welcome

I'm sure I bought a Mercruiser trim pump from Repower Marine. I did check through my Ebay history but it was more than three years ago. The Mercuiser pump is 12V though and the Pac 22 one is 24V. I changed all my electrics to 12V as part of an engine change.

The Pac 22 pumps turn up on Ebay fairly regularly. I think if you search for Stern Powr, stuff turns up but there is nothing at the moment.

The Mermaid Turbo 4, if that is what you've got, should rev to about 2600 RPM which should give you about 26kts if it is a 'standard' Pac 22. I've not heard of them being governed to 1500 RPM.

Thanks Guy. Yes it is the Ford Mermaid turbo 140hp 4cyl. The boat is coded so I had assumed that was why set low.

The link worked for me.

If you search for "fluidlink mod", it should appear.
