Bombard Aerotec 3.8 has a similar airdeck. I had a Yamaha 15HP 2 Stroke, which was a perfect match. Easily transported and carried also efficient. A 15HP engine will provide enough power for your 3.2 SIB

Welcome,
1st thing to do is to check the HP rating for the sib, it should be on a plate / sticker on the transom

Welcome to the forum.

I'm pretty sure that you will have a max hp of 10hp (flat floor) or 15hp (V floor). Its a great boat, but unfortunately it puts you right in the middle of the most competitive segment of the engine market.

You need a short shaft and IMHO the pick of the bunch is either the Tohatsu 9.8 or the Yamaha 15, both 2 strokes. A good one will set you back over a grand. But thereis lots of other choices that will work as well, whats your budget ?
