Hello from lincoln

Recently found rib.net whilst researching what to buy. Very well supported forum.
We have had cruisers in the past but been out of boating for 10 years. Have been looking at small 4 - 5 metre rib with console for the kids to get some practice on before we have something more serious. Kids are 13 and 15
Being in Lincoln we are limited in cruising grounds without travelling, so we need something we can put in on the river Trent which has the closest slipway, and we can then cruise down Trent into the Humber and on to hull. The main criteria really is to be able to cruise at decent speed and have good economy so we can get there and. Back without worrying about fuel ...probably 80 mile trip.
Been looking at Avon 450 with 60hp or Avon with 30hp.
Anyone have views on either or anything different?
