Gday from [not so] sunny Ayr

Morning all,

As the title says, live in Ayr and entirely new to all things boaty. Have been encouraged by a friend with a tiny dinghy and an outboard like a food blender and am determined to outboat him!

Off down to Largs this summer to do my Powerboat level 1 / 2 and then take it from there.

No boat as yet but hopefully that will change shortly.

Plenty of cruising grounds locoal to you, if it helps, might be worth asking on some of the cruise threads if anyone needs a crew - that way you will get a more "hands on" experience of differnent flavours / sizes of boat.
