Northern Tour 24

Well the weather is not great so it seemed like a good idea to take the Motorhome and Honwave T38ie 2 for a little tour of Scotland. If it rains there I am sure it would be raining here and There is so pretty we are going.

We take rather a lot of stuff and it is important that it is all ok and in particular a Mouse has not eaten the Sib. Here is the first video of this trip with is very short and it about getting ready

Well we had a good journey to our first stop. It was 310 miles and the Motorhome pulled the trailer a dream. So here we are at Parkfoot camp site (where they are just completing some nice improvements). Weather driving down was better than we expected and hopefully it will be good for our first trip out in the Honwave tomorrow.

The weather gods were very good to us for our first trip out on the water and we were very pleased indeed with how the Yamaha 15 hp 2 stroke performed. The day started frosty but with some lovely sun and we were back and all packed away just as the slight rain started. If any of you have never taken you sib to Ullswater it is well worth a visit.

Video below of what was a lovely day

We had a lovely time at Parkfoot and out on Ullswater but we have left that behind us now and are now on a lovely little camp site on the eastern side of Loch Lomond. Hopefully 5he weather gods will be good to us tomorrow for our trip out on the loch. Either way here is the video of day 3 of our Northern tour 25

The weather held nicely for Day 4 of our trip where were launched from Cashell campsite on Loch Lomond. The water was calm to start with but the wind got up a little quite a chop developed. The Honwave had no trouble however and we had a lovely day out on the water. We can certainly recommend this camp site if you like Loch Lomond

Another lovely trip out in the Honwave T38 ie 2 this time using the Tohatsu 9.8 hp on Loch Tay. If you have never been out on this Loch it is well worth a visit

On the morning after the video above the man himself Donny Wilcox came to our van location and we had a nice chat. Having see so many of his videos it was lovely to meet the man in person

We are back now from our Northern Tour 24. We travelled over 1000 miles in the Autosleepers Nuevo. Stayed at 3 camp site, 3 wild camp sites and 3 wild camps and got out in the boat 3 times. Here is a video of our trip condensed into under 4 minutes. For March we were very lucky with the weather
