New Member here - hello everyone - brocken seats

Hi, I imagine this issue is not unique to me. (broken seat bench's)

My bench seats have snapped. I was out near Port Dinorwik yesterday (my first time out) with my wife and small son, the seats will need replacing with marine ply or something else ????

1000 mm x 200 mm around 18mm thick ish.. marine ply seems a bit expensive and I only need a small amount.. what's the best solution?

I was told that the original ones were aluminium but they broke stright away also..

The boat was great fun, and used around 12 -17 ish litres of fuel on my two runs up and down the menai, first run around 12 miles , second around 22 miles. Got a bit choppy on the second run home, but this was on my own (putting my motocross and jet sky experience to good use on the waves) , so found it screaming good fun but very phyical. Is it a good idea to hammer these boats that hard?

Engine is 2005 yam 20 hp 2 stroke, seems to have more than enough power for the job and fairly quiet, only needing around 1/3 power to fly along... (2005 YAM360S boat) Running a, what I think, small pitch prop. around 10" pitch...

Boat quite different with just me in it, had to use the throttle slowly setting off else the wind was getting under her, but once on the plane ( 4 seconds later) it felt composed....

The menai may noy be the easiest place to learn, but kept me on my toes....

Been a few years since I was on the sea like this, really enjoyed it . Simsy....
