I think he means its a Lifeguard brand inflatable. I have a feeling these were made by Dunlop, but someone else will be able to confirm that. Used as MOB boats on large commercial vessels. Usually orange!

Lifeguard inflatables were made for many years as an independent company at Ruthin in Wales though they were taken over by Beaufort of Birkenhead a few years ago (another quality inflatable boat /safety equipment company that make life-rafts / lifejackets for commercial shipping/military (pilots rescue equipment )they also made the old style (overhead )lifejackets that the RNLI used)
now goes under the name of ML Lifeguard equipment .
Lifeguard used to make quality inflatable boats for both leisure and commercial use as well as liferafts & lifejackets most common was the yellow yacht tender .
Only downside with the ships tender/rescue boats is unless they were covered up being left on deck they are often sun faded covered in seagull muck& dotted in ships paint spots , though quite often have had very little use.
Boat I had was used as a tug tender & was fitted with a Yamaha 9.5 hp engine .

These Sibs are the nuts, the commercial ones, i have had a 10lb thornback off of mine and last year a 7lb codling, only got a 10hp on mine which is just not enough a 20 or 25hp 2 stroke and she would fly out of the water, the deck is so strong and what a well made craft, just love mine and would rule her over some of the newer type PVC jobs out there, like i have mentioned mine was made in 1984 and is going strong if a little bit discoloured ,lol.
