F-RIB 330 Transom Hole Filling

Hi I have just removed a set of transom wheels from my 330 as I am going to fit the beachmaster type. I have filled the holes with jb weld marine weld. I have bought some white gelcoat filler to try make the outside of the transom pretty again before fitting the new beachmaster wheels. The inside of the transom is blue what do I need to paint over that? Is it just paint over the fiberglass? Does anyone know the colour please?

Should I also sand back the gelcoat and the marine weld a little so that the gelcoat filler that I apply can be smoothed to the rest of the transom?

What rubbing compounds and polish do I need? It is such a small area boat polish and compounds seem pretty pricey. What would you guys recommend I want to do it properly so if I have to spend out no worries.

I have never done this before so any tips to make it as neat as possible would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Matt
