Add bunks to box trailer

Hey guys, as you can see from the photo my inflatable hangs over the trailer by about 6" either side to the middle of the tubes.

I'd like to position some 6"x2" lengths under the tubes, so I'll need to mount them on something.

I was thinking about packing out the black railing a little with some metal tubing. I can either bolt these on or ask a friend to weld them.

I'm a newbie though so open to suggestions.

P.s this trailer is for towing only, not launching

Thanks

Hi Jason,

Is the scaffolding ladder rack sat in those pockets, or are they fixed in?

If the former, why don't you weld the same pockets at the back of the trailer. Then make/fabricate some scaffolding bunks that can slot into the pockets at the front and back of the trailer. That way you don't have to have the bunks fitted to the trailer all the time.

Hi Steve, thank you for replying. That's an excellent idea as they are indeed removable. There would need to be a 90deg angle to widen to the necessary width to support the bunks, but that should work.

Thanks
