Lancashire/Northwest Repairs for jammed pull chord

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good outboard repair places in/near Lancashire as the pull chord has jammed on my outboard and I need it looking at?

I have phoned a few places but no-one can even look at it for the next 4 weeks! Was hoping it wouldn't take too much to fix (I'm new to boating)!

I have a johnson 9.9 and a 3.20 metre zodiac RIB

I assume you've already spoken to Bill Higham and Pennine Marine?

Is it just that the cord's stuck or will the flywheel not turn?

There's a lad called Steve who used to work at Pennine who works mobile now but I've no idea how you'd get his number ! Good mechanic.

Not sure where in Lancs you are based but if its the south then Shipshape Marine on the A6 in Hazel Grove Stockport is okay.

I know it comes under Cheshire before anyone says "owt"

Based in Blackburn. Yes the flywheel turns just the pull chord itself that's stuck.
Have rang a few places (white bear marina, etc) but no-one has any time within the next month!

if its only the recoil thats jammed, why not try a garage or a tool hire place - they deal with recoil starters all the time.
