Help! Yamaha 200 2-stroke model/serial number interpretation

Afternoon,

Can anyone help me interpret the model and serial numbers of my relatively recently acquired V6 Yamaha 200 2-stroke? The internet reveals various charts on what the letters all mean, but many of them originate in the US or Asia and I understand some of the year codes differ by region.

The code is:
200 BETO
6G6 L 406658 V

406648 is the serial number and I presume 'V' refers to the year, which I believe is 1995. The engine was originally supplied in the UK.

Also, does anyone know how much these engines weigh? I've seen 189kg somewhere (i.e. significantly less than even a modern 4 cyl 4-stroke F200) but is that right?

Any assistance much appreciated.

My dive club has a 115 v4 that is a 1994 model and it had the zone designation Z which we understand to mean supplied to Europe.

Davie, davej and Spartacus,
Thank you all for your helpful replies.
The info about the build and supply dates was particularly interesting and tallies exactly with what I have managed to find out from Cobra about the date they supplied the boat to its first customer.
Happy Christmas,
Tom
