Change To Electric start

Got a 40 hp 3cyl autolube pull start,there is a suiable starter motor on e bay at the moment what else would i need to convert to electric start,?battery, some means of charging it ,starter soliond,
what else anyone done this job,any help,advice.would be great

I've done this on a 30hp and it was staightforward. You need the starter motor and any associated mounting brackets, a flywheel with a starter ring and a solenoid.

Obviously you'll need a battery and wiring also.....but you knew that already. The engine may have a charging capability. It could be as simple as a lighting circuit.
