Carbon Fibre Propeller

World’s first installation of a Carbon Fibre Propeller on main propulsion system of a merchant vessel...

Carbon Fibre Propellers exhibit the same strength as the Aluminium-Bronze used in conventional ship propellers.
Due to its ultra-light weight, shafts can be manufactured with smaller diameters, contributing to a significant reduction in weight and fuel costs.

The ABP pilot boats had composite props for a short while when they were built...things must have moved on as these ones lasted about a day!
