20hp johnson

Hey i have a johnson seahorse 20hp (not sure of year) and was wondering is it possible to get some kind of kill cord fitted to it as its only got a push button to cut the engine, so is there any after market companies that make then to fit?

I think I may have been here already....

Does it have an idle mixture control on the front tray?

If so, what we did was set & locked the mixture control at the carb, removed the knob & used the hole for the deadman switch.

Use the stop switch wires (or wire it to the same place as the stop switch in parallel to it) Other option is to remove the stop switch & replace with the deadman - then tyo stop you just pull the deadman instead of pushing a button.
