I'm going to try to make it this year as it's been a number of years since I've been able to attend.

Hopefully I'll get the opportunity to see some old friends, and meet some new ones.

Thanks for the advance notice! Booked (thanks Mike @Sunnybraes). Here's hoping for less of Saturday's weather & more of Sundays!

A quick update

ERR is still on the cards. Various ideas but we may be limited in choice of destinations due to avian flu. At the request of nature organisations, by the middle of last summer many islands with bird colonies became off limits. Sadly we were seeing many dead birds in the water. Landing at remote areas was actively discouraged. It may be a bit of suck it and see nearer the time. Ideas had included Eigg/Muck or Cairns of Coll for a BBQ should the weather be sunshine and calm seas.

On an admin note, Carolyn (and Steve) bought a motorhome in October and have departed Easdale to become van-lifers based in Spain. I met up with Geoff W (Douglas of Sula) a couple of weeks ago. He has kindly offered to take on the general point of contact role which is a great help.

Hi Tony, I hope everybody is well.

Do you plan on updating your website with the plan for 2023?

Thank you for the prompt .
The ERR web page , a good question, which deserves a good answer.
We have yet to liberate the access codes (for want of a more accurate term) to take control of the site but we are on the case .
I have just received a pile of material from Commodore Hill and will wade thru it in early Jan to see what Carolyn did in advance each year.

Fortunately we have the great benefit of ERR being an established event so it should have a head of steam already thru this Forum and word of mouth .

I will be back on early in the new year . For now just to reaffirm there will be an event on in 23 last weekend in April so make plans accordingly and book accommodation. The old info will be largely up to date .

For now I hope you had a good Xmas and got lots of rib related gifts and wish you a good new year when it comes.

Cheers.

Douglas

All those who have registered will have now received an email with up to date information.

It’s a record number of boats registered tor ERR , currently 60 from all over UK and Ireland and from boat owners living or working overseas, as far as China.

Great to see so much interest and new boats to the event.

My email contained photos of our new ERR branded quality fleece and beanies available in a range of colours which require pre ordering . I you want anything, please get in touch.
