Afraid to say I'm with David ( not literally eating his curry ) and coudl choose the less damp option of calling my local to deliver. Happy to be proved wrong when its super sunny and warm .

Sorry

I'm afraid that I am going to have to pull out of this one, NOT due to the weather, honest, but due to work commitments.

We been bashing about in the Solent most of the week looking after the Westward Cup sailing boats, racing has now been cancelled for tomorrow due to the high winds, so we will not be in Cowes. Sunday is looking a bit better so hope to return the boat back to it base in Poole from it temporary berth in Lymington.

Forecast for Poole is currently gusts of 40mph (XC Weather) or 50mph (Met Office) at 4.00pm Saturday and 36mph or 45mph respectively at 7.00pm. That's bit much (even for me) for the hour's run needed to get to Cowes and then the return jouney in the gathering dusk. Unless things change dramatically overnight, I fear I'll be staying in tomorrow - although I might stick my nose out of the harbour on Sunday for some wave jumping!

It looks like it might be dinner for four then with me and Rick, and currently Whisper and Mrs W.
We do have the advantage that as we intend to stay overnight on the boat we don't have to plan on a rough night-time passage back!
Anyone else still planning on venturing out?

Even at this late stage, not sure if we can make it (not due to the weather as it's only a quick walk down the road for us!, but due to family stuff going on).

But the wife and I MIGHT be there!

Holding on for grim death, were you?

I'm sure that'll fix easily enough.

Have a good evening. For my part: Chicken Massala marinating, paste made and all ready for the oven at 6.30 to eat at 8.00 with mushroom pillau rice.

It was getting a bit lumpy and a bit of a 'Wight' knuckle ride to say the least. My handle snapped first then the Mrs did , we had to sit down for the rest of the way.

We have booked into the b&b and have been for a walk and picked out a good place for a cooked breakfast.

Stocked up on beer and wine and meeting up with Trev and Rick at around 6:45.

We should have a 'show us you curry' thread
