Anyone out to play in the Solent tomorrow

As per title - is anyone out tomorrow? Wx is looking perfect.

Now I've fixed our VHF we're good to go, so we're planning to leave Hamble Point approx 11.00. Will monitor Ch16 & 68.

Judging from my launch list for tomorrow, everybody is out on The Solent tomorrow. 30+ launches from KB Dry Stack so far - there will be more

Not out on Monday as I expect it will be too busy, but intending to boat on Tuesday as the weather's forecast to stay good.

Lovely shot - I'm trying to work out where that is - north coast of the IOW ? We were off Colwell Bay yesterday which was busy but very pleasant nonetheless.

Yep, just round the corner at the western end of totland, we Left late morning and had lunch in newtown with some friends ( at a distance ) With no short stays currently allowed in the local harbours i guess it was the go-too anchorage, quite a few craft parked up!

We thought that Hamble Polnt marina would be very busy for launching but it was fairly quiet. We went over to Newtown creek which was absolutely rammed with a constant succession of boats coming in so we anchored up just outside for our picnic.

Just so good to be back out on the water again.

Yarmouth now open for short stays

Short stay visits

Yarmouth Harbour Commissioners are now in a position to accept short stay/day sailors into the Harbour. Please call our berthing team on VHF 68 on approach for guidance to your berth. No large gatherings of vessels will be permitted including rallies, regattas and racing unless the organiser can demonstrate to the Harbour Master that all guidance relating to Covid-19 can be adhered to.

Overnight visitors

The guidance on staying at your primary residence still applies, so, in-line with current government guidance, no visitors wishing to overnight onboard will be permitted to remain in the Harbour.

Hi Lee, It's good to hear that Yarmouth is open for short stay but is anywhere open for food ie fish 'n chips? We're planning on going over to the Island tomorrow and it would be good to know if we could get something to eat or if we need to bring a picnic.

Evening

The local convenience stores are definitely open, however the blue crab have limited opening tines - https://www.thebluecrab.co.uk/ obviously all the pubs / restaurants are still closed
Been out all day today, saw Andre earlier and will be around Yarmouth tomorrow 👍

We'll head over to Yarmouth tomorrow lunchtime and see how it pans out. We have a full tank of fuel so the world's our lobster

Hopefully see some others out.

We intend to be out as well. Probably head for Yarmouth but I'm guessing so will the rest of the world. We'll take sandwiches anyway so we're not depending on getting into the harbour. Will monitor VHF 72 as usual.

We'll definitely be out. Will be leaving HP at about 1100. Will monitor 16 & 72.

Though fish'n chips would be great, we're not good at queing, so we'll also take sarnies. Hope to see you tomorrow.
