Plymouth Area 16/17 May 2020

Any interest in a meet up this coming weekend?

Weather forecast is amazing for a 5-day block and the boat needs a run to somewhere, being is socially distanced company would be sensible given the enforced layup we all have had.

My new rib is currently in Yeovil...

I am staring at the sea right now as I have done for weeks and its bloody painful

Good luck this weekend; might see you out and about soonish; where is she based? I will be in the Drystack once the delivery happens

I am based in Royal William Marina, opposite Mayflower. It has turned out to be an astonishing location for a sea school, the 3 mile operational limit is a massive chunk of sea and river to play with.

Hope the delivery, handover, run in and indeed the season go well.

Very envious!

I picked up a second hand 4m SIB on monday to plonk in the Dart and Kingsbridge Estuary. Stuck in the Midlands at the moment awaiting access to our caravan (too far for a day trip to get down - boat for a day, pack up and return home).

Where do you find the best place to park up and launch your boat on the Kingsbridge Estuary? If tide times permit, fancy the idea of dropping it in at Kingsbridge in the morning, tootling down for a day on the beaches at the mouth of the estuary and then heading back in the evening, but would be useful to be aware of some options when the tide is not on our side - particularly on the east side of the estuary?
