Great afternoon cruise!

Thanks Andy for arranging and thanks to all, some 15 boats I think? Great turnout despite lacklustre weather.

Great range of conditions for trialling the engine work done over the last weeks.

RIBase
83 nautical miles, 64 litres of fuel.

Ice cream, tea, pasty, cream scones, flap jacks, cake, and for some, cold pints.

Dolphins, cormerants, massive harbour mullet, herons, buzzards, swans and signals loads of different waders and ducks.

7 great bridges, 13 boats one day, 9 the other and the best bit??

The company, these events are made by the people that come together to share the fun, the passion and the love of the sea.

Roll on the next one!

Great couple of days Andy. Well done for coming up with the bridges idea.

As for the next one, make it east of Start point, that place doesn't like me!

You know that scene in San Andreas where the Rock drives a rib up the front of a tsunami......add in a couple of moments where a rib hangs in the air and then realises it can't fly after all. Had all my attention for quite some time!

Had a look when I'd got back and recovered to find it had been gusting 28 knots there at the time.

Still, every day is a school day. Found out what the boat is capable of even if the driver has some catching up to do.

Looking forward to the next Nutkin led escapade.
