18th Feb Solent Cruise

Dear all,

I'm hoping to bring a little flotilla of boats down to London on the 18th of Feb.

We are going to launch from Calshot about 10am then mosey on out into the Solent for a spin.

It would be nice to head towards Christchurch for some lunch if the weather and tide are OK. (Its not much further than a run from Lymington to Portsmouth for the un-initiated)

But if thats a none starter lunch across in Cowes at the Folly or down in Yarmouth at the Kings Head sounds fine too.

Anybody else interested in joining us???

Chris

OK thats four boats so far......anybody else??

As far as a plan goes, Christchurch would be nice but I think weather and tide will have an impact on us.

Unfortunatly, I am at uni at the moment otherwise I would have met you in Christchurch Bay, well worth the trip to Christchurch, but be careful of the channel, im not sure the channel markers are in at the moment, although there are a series of yellow buoys, follow them or a fisherman.
Have fun, best place for lunch is probably the Haven House Inn on the Quay, or the Beachhouse, on the sandbank.

Might make it - am waiting for my boat to come out of repairs.

Where do you moor in Christchurch. I have only been in for a quick look and out again?

Are people still interested in Christchurch for lunch? Let me know.

Chris

Small Print
Obviously your all responsible for your own boats and whether to go out or not. Its not a RIBnet event so don't sue JK or me!!
