It really feels nice when you meet dolfins out there. The weekend before last we (Manos, George and I) took "No Limit 2" and went some 15 - 20 miles to Kea. On our way back around 18:30, Manos spoted 2 dolfins comming our way, against us. They surely must got afraid of the boat, and dived. Though we stopped and waited for a while, (having all the digital equipment up and running), we were not that lucky. Didn't get to shoot a single picture.

Ignorance

Wot's difference between dolphins and porpoises. And what was it playing around my SIB in the Clyde at the mouth of Loch Long last week? Clearly had that type of fin but we never got really close.

Sorry to be so ignorant!

A google search provided the following;

dolphin -- (any of various small toothed whales with a beaklike snout; larger than porpoises)

porpoise -- (any of several small gregarious cetacean mammals having a blunt snout and many teeth)

So it could just be size and appearance, more info could be obtained from; British Divers Marine Life Rescue;
