yamaha 2hp Spark plug cover

Looking for a spark plug cover for a Yamaha 2hp 2b motor.

Would take the whole cowling set if its got nice stickers!

Saw a sticker set on ebay but £25 cost more than the outboard!

Hi @Craig_c, I think the Yamaha is similar (badge engineered) to the Suzuki DT2 2 hp from the mid 1990's? I'm selling one in great condition (apart from I can't start it!!!!) I've a link to the tree of gums here - plus I'm in same country as you. If you are handy with a spanner it could be a proposition for you. PS I'm selling the whole engine not breaking for bits.

Agreed, I have one of each, and think they are pretty much identical other than the badges! Although saying that, my Suzuki came with a metal prop, whereas the Yamaha has a plastic one...

Sometimes the Suzuki branded parts can be a bit easier to find, although a quick hunt on Ebay doesn't seem to show any Suzuki cowlings/covers either in this case.

Lovely little lightweight tender engines, I hope Craig finds the part he needs.

They are different engines all together. Nothing I common with a Suzuki whatsoever.

Hi guys, just an update, engine sold to a local chap. Hopefully he can breath new life into it. I hope I've not started a fight here with the similarities etc. I'll bow out and let you guys get on with it :-)

Apologies - maybe I'm completely confused with another 2hp engine we used to have then!

defintately different. I've had both. Suzuki was more powerful and is now dead. Yamaha is still going strong
