Wanted: Consoles

Does anyone know who sells new consoles and seating for ribs, was told there use to be a company in West Midlands but has since no longer?

Speak to Kieran at Robshop. He had a few left and some leaning posts too

I’ve tried out hill before and the website is no longer up and running. Even through Cheetah it doesn’t work so I’m not sure you can get their products anymore.

Hopefully I’m wrong

Outhill used to be local to me, at the time I was working for a boat hire company and the built 30 to 40 boats for us.

They supplied Avon and Zodiac with seats and consoles but when Zodiac bought all this in house they wound the business down and sold the moulds to cheetah marine. The boat moulds went somewhere else.

They used to make a real nice fast fisher called, a flying fox.

Looking at Plancraft’s boat site www.plancraft.co.uk they also have a dory called the Fox 440, wasn’t that part of Outhill Boats, I wonder if they purchased from Outhill when they closed up?

Yes the Fox 440 was one of outhills. The flying fox was 17ft and not a dory style hull.

I used RIBS4U when I replaced the seats in my rib.
Found them to be good quality ,
needed to enlarge opening in one seat to fit battery,
got two jockey seats cheaper than the OEM for my present rib.
would recommend them.

Hi all,

Made contact with the guy's at Plancraft, very helpful and emailed me a PDF list of all the consoles and seats they make along with their RIB's.
They confirmed that they took over many parts and molds from Outhill some years ago including some of the boat models and have many molds of items, not all that they list on their PDF and said if I'm looking for anything in particular let them know and will look through moulds that they now have.

I am in a similar position to be looking for a double console for a refurb I am doing. Did you progress with Plancraft or other? I have sent emails today to both them and Ribs4U for more information.

A few Projects on here in the past have ended up using a console from Ocean Ribs:

I've no idea if they are still going as I've not bumped in to Malcolm Windsor in Morrisons for a few years

But they'll be a good budget version if they are still moulding them alongside their fish farm equipment.

Agree, we bought 2 from them, also had to enlarge for battery,good quality and good price.

i have single jockeys and double console from ribs4u excellent and very good prices
