Roller Coaster

Does anyone know where the best place to get a replacement coaster wheel for a Super Roller Coaster trailer is? One of mine is missing presumed at bottom of slipway!

also a hint is
spend a few hours and drill and split pin em all in place, saves any damage to the boat if one comes off and the metal bit digs in

is a pain but not lost on in the last 7 yrs

Yes, i've done that on both my most recent rollercoaster trailers having had problems in the past and it seams to fix it.

Anyone got a good site for buying a braked hitch assembly to bolt onto a box section. Neither of these links sell this type, only "delta" braked couplings.

Despite a recent overhaul i am still having trouble with mine and think i might replace it, but have been quoted £200-£250 for a complete assembly.

If you drill the steel are you not exposing mild steel from behind the zinc plating

wont it rust like mad after that

no is absolutely fine, the circlip thing that grips on and holds the wheel in place rusts away and that is why the wheels fall off, hallmark themselves plus various dealers suggested drilling and splitpinning

here is a pic, these were done 7 years ago and none have failed, i purchased the trailer and replaced the hitch, brakes, suspension units everythign, but rollers remained the same and i just fitted a couple of new ones where the old had gone

has served me well

is this a common problem on all roller trailers.

how long before the circlips rust and fall off from new.

a pleasure

i think the new trailers might be splitpinned these days, sure i saw one with pins in

someone on here might be able to comment on the life of the original clip things

i also fitted large sturdy penny washers behind the pins

The clips on my old one started to rust and get loose after 3 years, then as suggested earlier in the thread drilled them and fitted stainless penny washers and split pins and did not have another problem for next 5 years.
