Twas a few years ago, maybe the gap has closed. The shoes cost around £50 and the std cables were around £15 each, whereas Knott shoes were £25ish and cables around £10 each.

Bigmuz7: I agree with what you say about ALKO brakes & cables. When I replaced them on a 1000kg axle a few years ago, they were a lot more expensive than other manufacturers' shoes & cables. :nonono:

I had exactly the same thing happen only a few...
I had exactly the same thing happen only a few weeks ago. Phoned the AA and they asked me if it could have been caused by a pothole and I honestly replied that I did not know what had caused it....
