The pukka Mariner manual is on the side of the dealer's profit: "Using all new piston rings", "Do not re-use...", etc., but it is probably worth a try.

Doing a big chunk of the work might keep...

Deceased Mariner 60

I have a 1991 Mariner 60, 2 stroke, 3 cyl with PTT. The small end bearing on the top cylinder is making a horrible noise - think 'saucepans in a tumble-dryer' - and will be expensive to repair.
