I;m running a Johnson 70 VRO but running premix. Its taken a little bit of fiddling to get it set up but its now proving reliable and good on the fuel. Quite a few still around worth some...

Just bought a 5.4m searider.
It will be quite lightly loaded. Ali a frame, and small console.
Got a 70hp VRO Johnson to go on the back.

For Legeslation
Powerboat Level 2 should be made the compulsory course for use of powerboats in the UK. The MCA would need to endorse the qualification just as the Yacht Master is issued on behalf of the MCA.
