Im currently lookign for a rib anyting form 5.5m to 6.2m and if you want a good example 6m or over you will definatly have to fork out 13k+

11-12k will get you an old 6m with an old 2-stroke engine.
For a mint 6m expect about 14k
For an average 7m expect 16-17k

People might disagree but ive spent 2 or 3 months now searching for my next boat and these are the prices you'll have to pay.

or a Ribcraft with attitude: http://www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk/view/F24432

That ribcraft is going to be mad. Check the weight of the engine, im suposing it is well within the limit though

I test drove a ribcraft 5.85 with a 115 suzi 4/s and it really shifted.
I was told 40 knots. Cant confirm that but withh that 150 V-max its gonna be abosolutly mad.

Looks liek hes played around with the prop too, twin proped...
Buy it!

That 150 V-max is standard - have a look here: http://www.yme.com/page.cfm?pageID=95703
The bad news is that it's a carb. engine
A teeny bit more info here: http://www.yme.com/page.cfm?pageID=95704

There's a couple of Opti's owned by forum members that have done similar mileage to the motor on that Ocean, tho.

have a closer look at the hull on that ocean. Deep enough up front but the back looks very shallow. Presumably for planning with lots of v.heavy divers onboard.

Nothign like a full length deep vee

90 on a 7.3? That's only 5hp more than on your old RIB, Ted! Dunno anything about Northcraft.

Simmo - take a protractor to view a RIB! See what you mean - doesn't look like the huge deep V on a big Ocean RIB - but then pictures can sometimes be deceptive. I don't think there's anything wrong with a rounded v hull - some Ospreys are like that, although I've never tried one!

Our diving club has a Northcraft 6m ish fitted with a 150 Mariner, I am no that keen on it, its not a very deep V and to be honest not that clever in a big sea. Quality build wise its okay.
