Zapcats wanted

Hello out there,

I am based in Moscow and represent Zapcat association building up around Moscow and Snt Petesbutg. Putting together fleet and arranging races we are looking for 3-4 new Gemini Zapcats, just hulls without motors. Importing from South Africa or Aauzie land seams a bit over the top and I’d appreciate you advice regarding trading places and prices somehere in Europe. I was trying to contact dealers via www.zapcat-racing.com but to no success, looks like nobody wants my money =

Thanks

Lena

zapcat racing are indeed the people you need to speak to, they are the dealers over here. A new one with motor race ready will cost about £7500.

Alternatively try these people: http://www.vortex-racing.co.uk/ who also supply zapcats

Craig on here works and races for them. He may see this thread and give you more details.

What are the key differences between these hulls & what effect do those differences have on in terms of performance and durability of these 2 boats?

The main differences between a Ceasar Thundercat and Zapcat.

- Zapcats are wider. This means they are more flighty in the waves because they trap more air underneath.
- Hijackers are shorter and at a slightly different angle. This means the nose is slightly more raised when in the surf. It reduces the rigidity of the boat. They flex more. And run differently
- In our opinion, Ceasar is better overall quality. Stronger transom, longer lifespan etc...

the most important differance is that zapcats only allow mark 10 boats to be raced in thier series, and boats and engines have to have been supplied by them. thundercats allow any boat ( which meets the dimension and weight requiements) including zapcats to compete. There is a lot to choose from in turms of flat/surf/rough water performance. Thundercat racing in the Ukare very helpful. they often can find second hand rigs.

NA Alternative to Zapcat - SuperDuxx

Hello,

I am a dealer for SuperDuxx Performance Inflatables, in British Columbia, Canada. Our 13 foot Challengers are very similiar to the ZapCat. Please contact us, if you don't have any luck finding an interested ZapCat dealer.

racing cat

I have one AQUARIUS available immediately, brand new - and I can have more.
The one I have is a 4.40metre, but I can get the 4 metre, no problem;

The 440 is longer - indeed - and wider, +20cm, allows more power to be fitted
