The guy tried to sell this to me too!!!

I took one look at the engine and walked away. It will chew fuel attached to a boat like that!!

The console needs to be ripped out, the deck did look dubious, the fuel filler in a foot above the deck, the aux is on some strange contraption.....the list went on.

However the exterior hull was ok and tubes looked firm.

If I was you I'd have a chat to Tim M about his arctic on here
Halmatic Arctic 22 - no engine - offers

Strikes me its a bit less of an unknown quantity and you could re-engine how you liked.
(There are 2x 150hp Yamaha HDPI's on boatandoutoards @ £3.5k ea!)

The arctic is a big heavy boat for a dive club anyway. You'd need a monster tow vehicle to shift it anywhere.

Have a look at something like this......

Lots easier to trailer anywhere and loads cheaper to run. The back pods can be completely removed to store gear too.

It's also three times the price so would need to be loads cheaper to run.

just a few facts

This boat was up for tender, and a second boat up for tender sold without any issue.

This boat fetched the price you see it advertised for in the tender.
When the Irish man came all the way to collect it, he said he did not realise it was 22 feet and too big for him (I know itís in the name but what can you say: mad

So we were asked to sell it for the price the tender fetched under the same conditions.

All stock boats have a minimum of 3 months warranty, all broker boats donít, and thatís always been the same for every boat.

Dealer or private

i agree i would never by a boat that has sold as seen . the boat is old and has had a hard life probably ( being a atlantic ) . the engines are a good deal but only if they run right if you buy the rib and the engine are gone you just spent over 5,000 for a old hull with knackered engines .

never pay what they say

Every brkerage or private sale is sold as seen.

Surely every brokerage or private sale is "sold as seen". You invest in a survey to satisfy yourself the boat is as it should be, you engage an engineer to run up the engine and take compressions. - JBT may even be able to offer a sea trial?

"As seen" means "as far as you want to see prior to purchase - but with no warrantee or guarantee once you have handed the money over.
