I was haring about Lough Swilly, Donegal, Ireland at 10am, enjoying the sun and flat seas.

Excellent day

We had our first trip out in the newly acquired Bombarb 380 yesterday.
Launched from Baiter, had a poodle around the harbour, round to Lake pier area ,then headed out of the harbour in a mass of boats around an hour before high tide.
The Sib was fantastic got a bit bumpy at the mouth of the harbour, due to the mad rush of boats more than any tidal conditions I think . Once out we headed past Old Harry for a little way, then headed back around 2.30pm.
Did 19.9 nautical miles. Mostly took it very steady partly because of the speed limits, partly because first time in new boat. Did a few blasts at just over 15 knots. On plane the sib is great, funny feeling when accelerating with the nose up then it comes down as you reach planing speed and it suddenly takes off had to slow down until I got used to it.

I can't find my camera since we moved so no pictures unfortunately.

The car park at baiter was heaving when we came in. People were still arriving at 3pm when we left, no spaces at all, especially if you needed trailer parking.

Sat fishing off the Lizard plenty of fish. Camping on one of the lovely coves on the Helford river and going for a twilight ride with no wind and a sticky warm air!
Today early start to fish explore and have fun
