Another vote for bravo

Not cheap but will easily sell second hand if you ever want to (unlike unbranded inflators)

I bought one last week and should have bought one years ago, very happy.

Just make sure you don't get the base model as it only has the high pressure part of the pump so is very slow, you want one with a two stage system.

I got a 1.5hp electric air compressor from B&Q with a 5ltr air tank & acessory kit for £100. I pressurise my thunderat with it & it takes no time at all! I ended up using it for the car tyres too so saves me some time with that too!

Not sure if your looking for one you plug into a car or plug socket? but the B&Q compressors brilliant!

Bravo 9 foot pump & Alu 4 hand pump works very well, you decide foot or hand, the Alu 4 has a attached pressure gauge. If going electric Bravo 0V10, inflates straight up to 3.5 psi. All mentioned pumps are well priced.

Happy Boating

What adapter do you use between the compressor hose and rib inflator valves?

Its a valve from a car tyre & just has a little electrical tape wrapped around the end to pad it out. It works perfect for me but depends what size your valves are

When you say after launch is that because of tubes hitting cold surface it losses a bit pressure ? I new so forgive the dumb question

Its just a case of topping it up if its needed. My old SIB we'd just pumped it up till it was fairly firm & if it deflated alittle just top it up out on the water. As long as there firm its usually fine i found. The pressures always changing though with cause of the sun verses cold water.

Its like with my thundercat, its pressured to 0.4 bar on the tubes & 0.8 on the hyjackers but if i beach it & leave it in the sun i have to take some air out otherwise it gets too much pressure leading to blown tubes!
