What would be your preference??

Having spent the weekend on a 6.5 meter Solent (intermediate powerboat training) I've decided to sell the sportscruiser and buy a 6.5/7.0 Rib. I've narrowed my search to either a Solent or a Vipermax (but I'm open to other recommendations) and I'm seeking advice on which is considered the better option and any advantages/disadvantages one may have over the other. The rib will be used mainly for family time and I'm looking for 6 jockey set up. Thanks in advance....

Personally I think there is very little in it and both would make excellent family ribs. Both have a good reputation and no vices.

If your after a new one I supose build slots and costs may be the deciding factor. Check the all up weights against your tow vehicle limits so you can comfortably tow long distances for holidays etc. If secondhand then Ribster Raches 7m looks good or this with a couple of extra seats perhaps:

or this:

There are no other options btw, so don't listen to those 'orrible Ribcraft lot when they appear shortly

Pete

I am biased so I won't comment, but if you want to come for a spin let me know.
