What Lifejacket?

Father's Day next weekend

And I've been asked what I'd like.....

I really want a great auto Lifejacket for the next action packed year although I'll probably end up paying for it

Can anyone recommend what has really been good to them or if there is anything new on the market that I should consider?

yes - can supply all SeaSafe and a Scottish Service Point for them.

I can supply ocean safety - kru range too and BALTIC .

the Baltic hybrid jacket is good if you plan being in the water - infact will go nice with your yellow dry suit , white gecko and y class lol

Why not try the new ergofit range from crew saver. I tried one at the London show I reckoned it would give spinlock a run for its money. Plus everyone's got a Spinlock

My ideal lifejacket doesn't exist but I like my Secumar AX Ultra. Its really comfortable, gets good reviews (including unofficial recommendations from RNLI staff) and you can easily configure the arming device for manual or auto mode. They also do versions without the hood or harness but its so compact and relatively inexpensive, the little extra of the Ultra is worth it.

I would agree with that. Fantastic lifejacket, really comfortable, and comes with all the extras included (spray hood, light, crutch straps).

Not cheap though.

It will come down to what you mean by a "great" lifejacket.....comfort, style, price, value for money, gizmos etc....

I'm quite comfortable with my Seago Olympic, but others may find that a bit pedestrian / not gucci enough.

I like the look of the Baltics, but they are megabucks. We have "bog standard" ocean safety autos, & they are cheap, simple & very comfortable to the point you don't know you're wearing 'em. When they come around for replacement, I'd probably look at the Baltics or Spinlocks
