I have a wife & 3 daughters & our last boat had small cabin with potable heads, it never got used in 5 years!
I ended up taking it out, bucket & chucket worked for us although the cabin was nice for a bit of privacy for them & good for the kids to get out of the cold in to! But it was a hard boat too!!!

All depends who is on the boat with you. Just family it is ok, but if you start introducing friends etc - then a bit of privacy is useful.

My experience with ladies and loos is that once they know there isn't one, they need it immediately. A fake door with "Heads" written on it will probably suffice to remove the need for any toilet whatsoever....

How about a shee-wee and a plastic jug so no one hangs over the side. And everyone is to look the other way!
Porta poti is a waste of time and deck space for no1's.

How about one of these....seen recently on West coast of Scotland. Had a chat with the owner from a distance - dont think he would have appreciated my old humber leaving black marks all over his tubes - cant quite remember the make....blue something and I think from Poland. I shudder to think how much but it looked a bit special. Sorry, not the most helpful suggestion but there are ribs out there with all the creature comforts and loads of deck space!

Yep..there is lovely looking one lives near me, but I've heard it has the least powerful engine choice in it to 'save' on costs...which has ruined it as it has little go about it, however with big hp they must be go anywhere type boats..

I'd love one

Sea trialed Arctic blue 37 last week - 50 knots and not run in yet. Twin Yanmar 370 hp diesels , 800 litre tank. At 30 knots burns 70 litres/hr for 9-10hr range.
Beautiful boat
More like £270 k ...

Thank you everyone for all your advice and comments.
After months of deliberation and a few sea trials we have opted for a Brig Eagle 780.
Not to everyone’s taste but for us as a family, seemed the best choice.
The new boat should arrive in March so the family is pretty excited.
Have a great session everyone and thank you again.
Many thanks
Matt
