Sorry I should be clearer.

I want to fabricate a bracket like this for my Merc 25. The tiller
arm will be here next week, but the workshop is only available
this weekend. I need to know the dia for the hole indicated. Thanks.

Dave;

I'm thinking you should be clearer still.

What, exactly, is the bracket supposed to do? Mount something on the existing tiller arm? Existing hole? If you have the motor (implied in your second post), why can't you just measure it?

Curious;

That does clear things up. I thought you meant manual tiller arm.

Sorry; after all that, I can't help you. Hopefully someone else will, though.

In that case I can't help; the one I have has a "manual" tiller....

Edit: saying that, I belive the nut that goes on that bit of the drag link is the same size on pretty much all engines (of this size certainly). Does anyone know the OD of the threaded bit?

A quick check in the dark suggests 10mm, but start with 8 and drill it out if nessassery.
