Temporary seating

Hi
Anybody got any ideas about a tempory seat in front of console.
To paint the picture, imagine takeing grandparents out in rib , Granny ok on seat beside me, but I dont really want to let granda 'rough it' on the tube :-).

Thouhgt about waterproof bean bag like http://www.greatbeanbags.com/product_details.asp?d=7&c=44&p={291FC9EA-8F18-4F3F-A18F-34658F48FC3D}
or maybe a storage box with pile of cushons but it will jump all over the place.
Any other ideas?

Cheers
Gary

Theres a company (who's name escapes me) that produces cool boxes, which can be used as seats on boats. They come with a fixing kit which allows you to secure the box to the deck of the boat. You can also get a cushion to go on the top. Looks like a very good idea for a small boat. From memory Valiant used to have them in their accessories brochure. I'm sure you could get one a lot cheaper on ebay or similar.

Attach a couple of eyebolts to your console and put an ice chest in front secured by bungy cords. If you wish velcro a cushion to the lid of the ice chest.

If you don't want them roughing it, remember the back of the boat will give a quieter ride than the front. Unless you need to keep an eye on them, why not put the seat behind you rather than in front?

These look good. You'll have to find a method of fixing to secure them down tho.

Marine beanbag seats: http://www.e-searider.com/ (the girl on the front page doesn't look like Grandma, though)

Igloo makes some squarer ice chests that have snaps for seat cushions (they sell the cushions as well), and they have hold-down kits available.

http://www.igloo-store.com/product_d...R=marineseries

Or the top page of the marine series:

Luck;
