Two other companies that made these type of boats (Solas approved fast rescue boat) Alumacraft and seabear, think they're both norwegian.

You were right, Pete7 - it is a Watercraft. 6.1m built in 1991 and powered by a jet drive (don't know if petrol or diesel) Looks like it could have come of a big ship - serious lifting eyes attached to deck. Current owner bought it as a "plaything" and hasn't been near it for 2+ yrs.

watercraft

Looks like a Watercraft RI22. These were built from aluminium, generally had polyurethane foam tubes - great, no leaks, and alot had mermaid turbo fours with a vospower PP90 aluminium jet.

There were other RI's in the range, including a fibreglass RI20. On the RI22 the engine cover is long and stretches back to house the controls and windscreen.

They were made to fulfil requirements as offshore rescue boats, and are generally seen hanging from offshore standby vessels & supply vessels.

They are not at all fast, and are generally in quite rough condition. However if you need to do some offshore work, and want a boat that can handle being dropped on to a steel deck by accident, this is the boat for you......
