Thats very interesting, as the Motorboat mag has a code of S50, which makes the tickets 11.00. Might be worth trying other codes? S70 ......

Anyway, have managed to get hold of 4 complimentary tickets, so am happy as a pig in ....

Nasher, I hope you had a good day, weather was good again!

We went along yesterday (Sat) and thought it was quite quiet for the opening public day, compared to other years. Managed to have a good look around in a relaxed mode and liked the Zodic N-Zo and Humber 1000 sport. I thought that there were alot less small traders, may be a sign of the times. Picked up one or two bits, but spent alot less than normal.

Mrs 250 would have put a deposit down on a Lagoon sailing cat, but I bulked a bit(!) at the 400,000 price ... Will wait to kick the kids out and down size the house, then I woke up!

Yep, we all had a good day.

We spent quite a bit of time on the RV Callista Oceanography vessel, and Middle Nasher, who's almost 13, announced he wants to be a Oceanographer

There was plenty to slobber over, particularly for me the two Nordhavn motor boats that look fantastic, the new Rustler 44, and the Beneteau Bordeaux 60.

Rib wise there were plenty of nice boats, but as always the Goldfish boats really did it for me, along with the Revengers (Even if the Revengers were white...Yuck.)

Some time soon we'll have to upgrade the smaller Nashers SIB, they really want a small rib, so were running off to look at all the sub 4M ones, but we won't be able to roll a small Rib up in the big Rib to run it around to the Beach like we do their little Zodiac. The ideal solution appeared to be a Bombard SIB with an air deck that formed a very deep V hull shape, the problem being the only one they produce is 4M which would be a little too large.

The Yellow/Black Ribcraft on show, that John says is up for sale, had a very good stern anchor/warp arrangement, a length of webbing on a reel that when wound up was very neat and took up little space attached to the A-Frame. Has anyone seen this for sale anywhere? as I'm sure it would be a good solution for the main anchor as well.

Lots I could mention, and far too much to see in one day, particularly if you have a family with you.

Nasher.

Me thinks Rope on an old hosepipe could be a cheaper option.
Do like the idea though.
