Slipway Fees

I had a quick look around the forums to see what other ribnetters are paying across the UK and came across Mister P's thread on Free Slips (Free Slips). Unfortunately, his website does not appear to be up and running yet so maybe we can preempt it with a quick poll around the country of the current launch fees including those few slipways that may still be free.

I can start as we visited Lymington last Saturday and paid 13 to the Harbour Commissioner for a vehicle assisted launch (5.50 unassisted and 19 over 100hp) plus parking approx 1/hr when you're lucky enough to locate a space.

Who's next...

Warsash is free if you don't get charged harbour dues by the harbour master. Best to launch at dead low tide though, or you need a good roller trailer and a long rope.

Herne bay in kent is free nice wide slip concrete, About 3 hrs before and after is usually ok but drops quickly, cost to park car and trailer 11.00 all day carpark at top of slip ,gets busy so have to gaurd parking other wise nicked whilst launching.

castle town slip at portland nr weymouth also free, parking next door cost for car and trailer 12.50 , or other places further away or on road side concrete slip on to hard shingle prob usable most state of tide .

there's my contribution.

Launched on Sunday at MDL slip at Cobbs Quay, Poole. Cost me 30 and as of today it has gone up to 46 you even have to launch your own boat at that price

I can't think of anywhere in Pembrokeshire that charge slipway fees, the parking's usually free as well, but don't tell anyone.

Seems very expensive is the slip gold plated?

I paid 103 for unlimited launch and recover at lymington for a year!

That's Cobbs for you.

But at low water you won't get close to the slip in the boat let alone recover it.
