Rock Marine Services

Anyone had dealings with these guys? It's a bit of a drag to Rock for me, but they booked it in the next day. The local guys wanted two weeks! They are Optimax equiped and appear pretty efficient.

If you click onto Boats and Jetski World, you'll see my boat with four nutters in it about 10ft in the air on the home page. She has a bit of a sh**y bottom in the pic. I'll gets some pics uploade asap.

Rock marine services are spot on, we've had a couple of engines off them and they've been great on the servicing side too,....'could'nt recommend them highly enough. Johnathon's your main man there now, i think his old man may have retired.

I'd love to get to Falmouth for a meet up too, does anyone know of any campsites around there which would take a 6mtr boat on a trailer too?

10ft ?

Nice looking boat though - I look forward to seeing you out on the water.

I presume you got the bottom clean now. All that shit stuck to the hull must shave 5 knots of the top speed.

Sort of had dealings with them, was looking at a rib at their premises that one of their customers was selling, he was a real Arfur Daley. They very kindly and very subtely warned me off, so yes I was impressed and am pleased to be able to somewhat repay the favour

Thanks Pete, I had read it. I did a fair bit of research before buying the Osprey. I really am very impressed with it. Chris

OK, 6ftish. The boat was filthy when I brought it home. It had seaweed living in the rear well. The tubes were dark grey with grime. Unfortunately it has been antifouled ( which I think is only for lazy owners on a trailered boat). This was rubbed down for re-antifouling but it hadn't been carried out. It looks awful, but we're getting there. She's in good nick, it's only cosmetics and I enjoy the work.

Camping wouldn't be a problem. A mate of mine owns a very small site in Mylor quite near to Mylor Harbour where we launch. Mylor do a reasonable visitor rate if you wanted to leave her in the water overnight. Chris

I think we will be camping as well, do they take dogs at your friends site Chris?

Ive emailed Mylor to see how much it is to launch and stay over night.

Cheers Shaggy

Hi Petrov
Nice photo what was the model and spec of the Osprey in this Pic?

Ive been looking at the Ospreys web page and see that the Seaharrier has a higher rated outboard capacity "250hp - 2 X 115hp" than the Vipermax "200hp - 2 X 100hp" does it have the same sea handling capacity?

I havent seen many Seaharriers around either?

Shaggy
