Hi Chris
I would love to see your Viper Max as I was thinking of getting a bigger boat next year and was looking at the Ospreys as a possible replacement.

I have a 5.8 Narwhal I use out of Hayle harbour it would be great to have an "end of summer" get together, quite new on here myself and I havenít managed to meet the other Cornwall grockels

Freudian Slip?
I rarely do see the cost. I always use some one elses boat, they pay fuel, and tell them how much to pay if something breaks

I like the idea of a SW meet

Cheers,
Keef.

Hi Shaggy. Well she's had a good shake down today. Absolutely delighted with the thing!! I've had boats of many types over the years , but this is the first rib. This thing tracks and rides every bit as well as my previous boat which was 27ft and 3 toones of searay. It popped onto the plane instantly and pulled just over 40knts. A bit of prop tinkering would see her nearer 50 but the kids want to wakeboard so I may have to run two. We did Fal to Portscatho, over to the Helford for one of Charlie's steaks and then back to Mylor via Meanporth and Swanpool. Cruised at approx 4000 rpm the whole way and burnt around £20 in fuel. The searay would have been £60-70! Hauled her out in Mylor to have a family of South Africans waxing lyrically about it. Unfortunately a young mate who runs the sailing school offered to park my truck and the trailer, mucked it up and tore the wires out of the trailer lighting socket. Had to go home and get the other halves car instead as it was pitch black by then. Hosed it off in the drive at 11.20pm. Nice day, good boat.

Sounds like a great day out, shame about the trailer.

Ive never ventured from St.Ives Bay and Mounts Bay so a cruise around Falmouth would be great.

May be on the bank holiday? My wife and I could stay over in a B&B somewhere for the night.

Cheers Shaggy
