Shell Island for a weekend on the boat

Hey guys, we are off to Shell Island in North Wales tomorrow for a weekend of camping and boating (I know its going to rain but what the hell!!), have been loads of times before but never with a boat, anyone else been\going\got any tips for launching there?? Hopefully will get a pitch right up near the slipway so easy to catch the morning high tide!

we will be around cardigan bay all next week a trip to shell island is on the list of trips will look out for you

Sorry if its bad form to resurrect an old thread but are you guys still here & if so what was Shell Island like? Trying to find somewhere nice & not too pricey for a weekend camping & boating & looks interesting from the website.
