Blimey are you sayin its even more expensive over there .

I cut and machine a lot of 18 and 12mm wbp bonded for a customer who makes bee hives . he pays about £20 per sheet for it but i wopuldn't use that stuff , its got a nice surface but lots of voids and crappy wood in the internal layers . We often soak offcuts to test it and it is waterproof though .

All you need are a few offcuts from a boatbuilder

Searider Transom

Hi there, as I was wondering about drying the board in the transom, i decided
to cut it out for a new one. It didn`t felt strong enough for a 90HP outboard.
So i will cut 2 new boards, the outer with 19mm and the inner with 12 mm.
I`ll take wbp plywood and glue it with epoxy and fibre.
