Saxon Wharf Slipway Closure

Anyone know why Saxon Wharf Slipway is going to be closed ?

I'm told by a reliable source it will be closed with little or no plan to reopen it?

Saxon Wharf Slip Closure

Jono

Heard the same thing myself last summer and more recently from the marina manager for Saxon and Shamrock. Reason is unclear.

Reason is simple MDL don't want to maintain it. Neither do they want to be responsible for any accidents on the slipway thereore they closed it. The added advantage for MDL is they can then charge for lifts.

To be honest the public slipway is much preferable anyway

As stated elsewhere, Crosshouse is going to be an absolute bastard once the season gets going.
