RTW in an eighty foot RIB!
Yes, an 80 foot long RIB! Has anyone else seen this yet?

The attached picture shows the design of Offshore Expeditions prototype design for the RIB that Alan Priddy intends to use for his next crack at the RTW challenge. Yes, I understand that he's going to have a go at the record once more.

This incredible craft appears to be a 'hard nosed' RIB with a 'wave cutter' hull and it is 80 feet long! It has twin engines that aren't yet on sale to the general public and it will have a range of 6,000 miles so they will only need 4 or 5 fuel stops!

Wow, what a RIB, surely it will be the biggest RIB ever built?

If anyone else can shed light on this please let us all know.

alan you will need a big tanker cider not beer ,nasher new unit is only 60 ft long but with room to extend ,will post before and after photos of the building in a couple of weeks when we have moved in .

I think it means you can have a stab at setting or beating existing motor boat records, but claim that you did it in a rib.

the tubes make it dual purpose ,rib record and ballooooon record if fild with helium

Do you know what the seas can be like in 50° South? A 10m swell with a 4m curl on top of that! The boat needs to be dimentionned to the conditions.
