The 5.3 with that seating is a brilliant boat .rare with that layout. Very very occasionally one may appear..but if you wait for one then be prepared for a long one!its the most sought after layout.

Hi Budgie
I think you'll struggle to find a decent RC5.3 with that layout for sale, certainly at your target budget. I searched for months without success to find a sub 5.5m rib with 4 x single jockeys, and couldn't find one.
As the seating configuration was very important to us (with 2 young children), in the end I blew the budget went for a bespoke new Ribcraft 5.3 - cracking boat for size.

Could you stretch to an older RC 5.85 or an Osprey 5.5 Vipermax?

Thanks Budgie.

A lot of planning did go into her (and some hard negotiating - even so I blew the budget!) but don't regret any of it.

That lay out I think was actually a good investment (or so I tell Mrs T).

You sound as if your in the same sort of situation as I was - wanting a definite boat & unable to find it. Do drop me a PM if you want to discuss your dilemma further. I got a lot of good info from Ribnetters

You will find the right boat if you look long / hard enough & are prepared to make some compromises - we had to decide what as vital & was was "nice to have".

Do talk to the key manufacturers that you've identified, they may know of some boats coming onto the market.
